Divergent (Divergent Trilogy, Book 1) - Book review

Divergent by Veronica Roth

"In the world of Divergent, society is divided into five factions. Every year, all sixteen-year-olds must select the faction to which they will devote the rest of their lives. For Beatrice Prior, the decision is between staying with her family and being who she really is. Her choice shocks everyone, including herself"

I saw the film before reading the book and I must say the film did well. I enjoyed the book greatly and the story was brought to life so well that you feel that you already know this world. Beatrice is one of those strong female characters that we are seeing more and more of (think Hunger Games) but she's a character that is written well and fully. She is conflicted and full of love for those around her.
I'm looking forward to reading the next book.

edit;
